MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN
Samantha Katzel, Intern Counselor | firstname.lastname@example.org email@example.com| 571-317-1128
Many of us struggle with various issues throughout our lives, but I believe no one should have to struggle on their own. One of the bravest things you can do is ask for help and my goal is to offer a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients in order to receive the help they need or are seeking. Within this space, we will explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We will also work to develop effective coping and problem-solving skills to promote personal well-being and to help you become the person you strive to be.
I utilize techniques from person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and believe in a strengths-based approach. I have personal experience with anxiety, depression, and being a child of divorce. I hope to use both my personal experiences and my academic experience to provide a unique perspective in counseling. I plan to provide a safe and comfortable environment for clients of all backgrounds, cultures, and religions. Mental health is an important aspect of one's overall health and I look forward to being a part of your mental health journey!
I am currently enrolled in Marymount University’s clinical mental health counseling graduate program. My supervisor at Falls Church Wellness Center is Bella Sterling. I can be reached by phone at 571-317-1128 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
