Navigating distress on your own can be difficult, overwhelming, and even insurmountable. Maybe you feel stuck, misunderstood, or even lost. Seeking guidance to help with this navigation may seem even more daunting. I open a door for you to explore this in a way that seeks to connect with you, your identity, and life experience.
My approach is multi-dimensional, integrating a variety of techniques, customized to you. Each of us is unique in our own way and I will honor that through a multicultural lens. It will be a space that is fully tailored to you, open to all ideas, and free of judgement – true unconditional positive regard for you. We can work together to make sense of what challenges you, through your own eyes and voice, and create long-lasting feelings of courage towards the life you want to live.
As an Asian-American man who once feared the idea of therapy due to cultural and social stigma, I have a deep passion to make counseling or therapy more accessible. Whether this is your first time entering into counseling or you have had many past experiences with it, finding a therapist that feels right for you is absolutely essential so I hope to provide a feeling that your voice matters, you are not alone, and I am here to listen. I will empower you to build a foundation through the understanding of oneself and to grow the belief that through this that change is possible.
Currently, I work with adult clients of all backgrounds and concerns. My experience and education, as a counselor intern through Northwestern University’s Masters Program, is bolstered by past professional experience and roles in the business and technology industries with years of experience in diversity and inclusion volunteer work.
