I believe that taking care of the root of any issue is a process that requires some time and commitment. This can be accomplished through identifying problems, understanding their meanings and causes, detecting unhealthy patterns, and learning more about oneself. I also think that tapping into past experiences and the unconscious mind can bring an important insight necessary for gaining control over our life.
Therapy can seem scary, but besides the challenges it may present, it can also be the most rewarding and exciting journey. It can help to build new strengths, break down dysfunctional behaviors, make sense of feelings, teach how to heal and cope, and improve relationships with others. I understand how intimidating taking the first step towards therapy can feel. Therefore, I approach my clients with care and sensitivity. I want them always to feel welcome and safe during our sessions. To make the process more accessible, I offer a free fifteen-minute consultation. I look forward to helping you overcome any obstacles on the way to a happier life and a healthier version of yourself.
I am currently obtaining a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University. I am also a member of Chi Sigma Iota Counseling and Professional Honor Society.
