MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN

Roland Scheppske; Counseling Intern
I am an Intern Counselor who is on the last leg of his Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from Marymount University right here in Arlington, VA. Previously, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at University of Maryland University College (UMUC) while still living in my hometown of Baltimore, MD.
As your counselor intern I am humbled and thankful to be the one to walk your path with you and to lift you up where you need to be. Together we can overcome the hurdles that have been put in place preventing you from getting to where you need to be in order to fully succeed in whatever situation it is that is troubling you. I use talk therapy and a humanistic approach in counseling to help delve into your current self and how we can better them in order to perceive, process, and excel in understanding how your past may have contributed to your present and how we can mold your future self. I have interest and experience working with depression, anxiety, ADHD, chronic conditions, Irritable Bowel Disease (IBD) related stressors, PTSD, adult and/or adolescent addiction, LGBTQIA+ communities, & kink/sex positivity.
Coming from 10 years of service within the medical field prior to and during my pursuit of my counseling degrees, I am confident in my intuition, passion, and empathy for my clients and all that is presenting to them in their time of need.
