’Hi! My name is Ellen and I’m a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at William & Mary. I’m also completing a second Master’s in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Women & Gender Studies at George Mason University. I’m so glad you’re here and considering therapy—it takes courage to reach out, and you deserve support that honors your full self.
My approach to therapy is integrative and collaborative. I draw from existential and narrative therapies, rooted in intersectional feminist theory and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients explore identity, navigate emotional intensity, and make meaning of their lived experiences—all while learning practical tools to build a more grounded and fulfilling life. I believe therapy should be both a space for deep reflection and a place where you leave with skills you can apply in the real world.
I specialize in working with queer and gender-expansive folks, women, and individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, religious trauma, or Borderline and other Cluster B-related experiences. My work is grounded in a commitment to social justice and identity-affirming care.
More about me: I have two black cats and I’m a proud Swiftie!
If you'd like to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation or set up an initial appointment, I can be reached at Ellen.FCWC@gmail.com. I’m currently completing my practicum and internship at Falls Church Wellness Center, and I look forward to supporting you on your journey.,
