Halle Crampton, Intern Counselor l 571-307-7809 | hallecrampton.fcwc@gmail.com
Hello! My name is Halle Crampton and I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling student completing my internship under the supervision of Kimberly Anderson, our clinical director at Falls Church Wellness Center, and a licensed practicing counselor. I have worked through several avenues of mental health, including inpatient services and crisis stabilization, educational interventions and foster care services.
My experiences have taught me just how unique and important our experiences and perspectives truly are. There is no problem for which is too big or even too small, no thought or behavior that is too mundane or uncomfortable. I meet people where they are at, I listen to them and help them to find what it is that they need and do everything I can to help them meet that need. I consider myself a strength-based counselor, as important as it is to understand and address the things that are wrong, it is just as important to identify the things that are right which will be your foundation and guiding light towards a better future. My clients are so much more than their diagnosis or the problems they face and I have a passion for connecting with people on a personal level and I pride myself in being a calm and stable presence that can help guide individuals through their toughest moments. My work has given me the opportunity to connect and share experiences with teens and children from just about every socioeconomic, racial, gender identity, or diagnostic background there is. With my experience in crisis situations, I am able to think outside of the box and find creative ways to connect with individuals with energy and compassion.
I specialize in connecting with youths and adolescents with diagnoses related to mood and focus, including ADHD, DMDD, ODD, Depression, Anxiety, and others, as well as providing education and support to their families. I have an extensive history of working with children who have experienced trauma or are going through dramatic transitions in their life be that through divorce or separation, changes to living experiences, experiences with grief and loss, gender identification and many other circumstances or a combination thereof. I take an energetic and lively approach, integrating my passion for art into my practice when appropriate, and love finding new ways to help an individual work towards their individualized goals in ways that make the experience fun and something to look forward to.
If you feel that we would make a good fit, have questions or concerns, and/or are excited to begin your journey with us, feel free to reach out to me for a free consultation or send me an email. I look forward to meeting you!
