MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIAN

Lydia Fahey, Intern Counselor l 571-416-0187 |  lydiafahey.fcwc@gmail.com

Hi there! I’m glad you’re here.

I’m Lydia Fahey, a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at the College of William & Mary and an intern counselor at Falls Church Wellness Center. Before entering the mental health field, I worked as a communications professional, where I was entrusted with telling people’s stories. That experience shaped how I see counseling: each person is the author of their own story but may need support in making sense of the words, finding meaning, and discovering next steps.

As an intern counselor at Falls Church Wellness Center, I work with teens (14+) and adults – both individually and in groups – and am particularly passionate for supporting military and military-connected clients. I support clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, self-esteem concerns, and relationship or communication difficulties. At the same time, I welcome and value working with clients from all backgrounds and experiences.

My approach is holistic, person-centered, and strengths-based. I strive to create a warm and collaborative space where you feel seen and heard. We will explore your experiences and work toward your personal goals at a pace that feels right for you.

Some fun facts about me: I love animals (I have three cats and a dog!), reading, and plants.

If you feel I may be a good fit, please reach out to schedule a 15-minute consultation or appointment at lydiafahey.fcwc@gmail.com or 571-416-0187 (call/text)‬. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting your journey.
