Hi! I'm Sunee Claud, a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at William & Mary completing my internship at Falls Church Wellness Center under the supervision of Jess Stoler, LPC. With years of experience in education from preschool through post-secondary transition, I've connected with students and families from diverse backgrounds—experiences that inspired my path to counseling.

Taking the step to seek therapy is courageous, and I'm honored to walk alongside people navigating life's complexities—especially major transitions, caregiving responsibilities, and questions of cultural identity and belonging. I believe in genuinely collaborative work where your lived experience guides our journey together. Drawing from humanistic and systems approaches, I help you discover your own insights while honoring the broader contexts that shape who you are.

My specialized training includes women's perinatal health, LGBTQ+ mental health, and crisis intervention. I welcome clients ages 10 and up, offering support with grief and loss, life transitions, caretaker burnout, cultural identity exploration, and parenting and relationship challenges. With younger clients, I draw on my classroom experience to navigate academic pressures, friendships, identity exploration, and growing independence. My practice celebrates and affirms BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ identities.

As an Asian American who has lived these experiences and supported families from many cultures through complex challenges, I understand how personal circumstances and societal barriers intersect. I create a warm, culturally-sensitive space where you can feel genuinely supported—with both meaningful reflection and practical tools for moving forward.
