Tracie Jurgensen, Intern Counselor, MA l 202-430-5494 |tjurgensen.fcwc@gmail.com
I am a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University, completing my practicum and internship at Falls Church Wellness Center under the supervision of Kimberly Anderson.
I work with adults navigating life transitions, parenting, identity development, perfectionism, grief and loss, anxiety, and neurodivergence, including ADHD. I am especially interested in helping clients develop a more compassionate relationship with themselves, increase psychological flexibility, and move toward lives that feel aligned with their values.
Before entering the counseling field, I spent many years working in education and special education, supporting children and families across a range of developmental, emotional, and learning needs. That experience continues to shape the way I approach counseling, with compassion, patience, and deep respect for each person’s unique story and strengths.
I view therapy as a collaborative space where clients can slow down, explore patterns with curiosity rather than judgment, and move toward a curated purpose. I value creating an environment that feels calm, authentic, and emotionally safe, where you can show up fully as yourself.
